Bush nominates O'Neill as EPA CIO

The White House has put forward Molly A. O'Neill to be Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency for Environmental Information.

The White House announced yesterday that it will nominate Molly O'Neill as the new chief information officer at the Environmental Protection Agency, replacing Kim Nelson who left that post late last year.

O'Neill would officially be the assistant administrator of the EPA for environmental information. She currently serves as state director for the National Environmental Information Exchange Network at the Environmental Council of the States.

Before that, she served as the principal of the Environmental Systems Group at American Management Systems.

The Senate must approve O'Neill's nomination.
