Technology time warp
I am glad that your story ["Feds urged to boost telework"] helps drive home that fact that Uncle Sam is in a technology time warp, backwards, that is, with respect to ordinary business-like operations, and might need to review how and where it finds quality employees.
There is a much-reduced need for things like office buildings that are geographically coupled to a particular locale to conduct the affairs of business, or the affairs of state, if suitable and reliable technologists are employed to create a scalable and flexible information architecture.
It might even be a good idea to hire only U.S. citizens for these positions to help bring the economy back to life.
