*** Carlos Del Toro, a former Navy commander, was nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as Navy Secretary, the White House announced Friday. Del Toro has most recently led his own government contracting firm, SBG Technology Solutions, which focuses on modernization and IT infrastructure services for the federal government. He served on active duty in the Navy and in civilian roles in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and in the Office of Management and Budget.

*** The General Services Administration named Andrea M. O'Neal to a newly created advisory post focused on equity. O'Neal brings 20 years of research and advisory experience in equity and diversity from the private sector and academia, having previously served on Brown University's Presidential Task Force on Anti-Black Racism and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Equitable Futures Project.
