Federal 100: Richard L. Haley II

Name: Richard L. Haley II
Title: Assistant Director, FBI
Agency: Justice Department
The unifier. Last year, Haley led a project that fused four obsolete asset management systems into one modern solution for the FBI. Now financial managers can track assets, work orders and tasks, and view the linkages across the accounting life cycle to help ensure assets are tracked effectively and efficiently. The system currently monitors more than 138,000 vehicle work orders, 59,000 accountable weapon assets and 83,000 assets classified as technical support equipment. Haley's tenacity and leadership style were praised by his peers as being critical to bringing the FBI's asset management up-to-date.
