The National Digital Literacy Corps modeled after Americorps

The Federal Communications Commission is proposing a National Digital Literacy Corps to help Americans get online. The idea, modeled after other volunteer organizations such as AmeriCorps, is part of a national broadband plan that will be unveiled next week. It will target communities with low numbers of broadband subscribers, including low-income areas, rural areas and tribal lands.
