OMB calls on agencies to share cost of Grants.gov upgrades

The Office of Management and Budget is asking for agency contributions to pay for improvements to Grants.gov, the government's overworked central portal for grants opportunities and applications. Last month, the Health and Human Services Department began work to shore up the system, which OMB says is in danger of collapse as unprecedented numbers of users go to the site to explore grants opportunities under the stimulus package.
