Maryland at odds over Real ID law

The Maryland Senate passed a bill that would require all drivers to prove their lawful presence in Maryland, and under the federal law, the license would be sufficient to board airlines or enter federal buildings. The House version, however, creates a two-tiered system that would grandfather in applicants who have a "federally noncompliant" license, which still would be adequate for driving purposes.
