McGrath led a project to automate and streamline the process for granting security clearances to Defense Department employees and contractors, allowing them to begin serving more quickly. As co-leader of the Joint Security and Suitability Task Force, McGrath and her team envisioned and implemented a new end-to-end clearance system that incorporated several component legacy systems.
“It’s a big IT task,” said Trey Hodgkins, vice president of federal government programs at TechAmerica. “Coming out of the BTA, Beth has the background to look at [and understand] the business processes” required to modernize component systems.
