Utah legislators mull a database of bar users

While Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. told The Associated Press he is opposed to creating a statewide database to track bar patrons, his spokeswoman said he is not opposed to private clubs keeping information collected on their customers and making it available to law enforcement. According to Utah's Senate president however, not many law enforcement officials are certain such a database would prove useful.
