Indiana workers' Social Security numbers posted

The Social Security numbers of 8,775 current and former state employees were accidentally posted on a state Web site for about two hours Jan. 20, the state of Indiana disclosed Friday. The commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration said the numbers were erroneously included in a contract solicitation file posted on the department's procurement site. Four entities already accessed the information during the two hours it was posted.
