Despite economy, federal IT market expected to grow to $98.5B by 2012

According to research from CompassIntelligence.com, the federal government will spend about $98.5 billion on IT goods and services by 2012. This year the government market (including defense and civilian agencies) is expected to total $80.6 billion on IT, including telecom, applications, outsourcing, services/support, network hardware, computer hardware, and personnel.
