With the federal budget getting tighter and tighter, I see more reasons why we need to ensure that our workforce is concentrating on performing at their peak.

The waste in my organization is overwhelming. The pay that we receive and the amount of hours that some employees work is a slap in the face to the taxpayers.

Why can't upper-level management see this and do something about it? Why is it that when we need to get something done, they continually want us to not rock the boat and keep things under our hats. Doesn't the public deserve more than this? Don't the hard-working federal employees deserve it too?
