FirstGov calculator too generous

The seniors page of the FirstGov portal (www.seniors.gov) has a calculator for figuring retirement benefits. One important benefit as a government employee is the Federal Employees Retirement System supplement.

Recently, I "ran" a test case using the calculator and was dismayed to get $10,000+ as a supplement. With FERS being less than 20 years old, it is not possible to qualify for a supplement this large! In virtually all cases, the supplement turns out to be from $200 to $400 per month.

The above is quite an egregious error, which could cause grief for an unsuspecting user.
