The website of Argentina's equivalent of the Recording Industry Association of America served up “torrents” of large files instead of industry lobbying affairs.

TorrentFreak reported the site was transformed into a proxy for the Pirate Bay file-sharing service after the Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers won injunctions demanding that 11 ISPs block 256 IP addresses and 12 domains of the Pirate Bay.

Pirate Bay, which offers free software, movies, and music, has been under attack globally from the content industry. “The Argentine legal action makes it the first time a Latin American country blocked the Pirate Bay,” Ars reports.
