Data dump; Network intrusion; Unauthorized use of system administrator privileges

Hacker who goes under the handle @TibitXimer on Twitter filched more than 3 million Verizon customer records and leaked about 300,000 of them to an online bulletin board. Perp exploited a flaw in the company’s network to grab unencrypted entries from a database, “including names, addresses, mobile serial numbers, the opening date of each account, and account passwords.”
