Letter: Article should have mentioned FFRDCs
A reader says the Homeland Security Institute will be replaced with the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute.
Regarding "DHS center to focus on security studies, tech concepts"
You
should have stated that the Department of Homeland Security will
continue to sponsor studies and analysis [by] federally funded research
and development centers. The congressionally chartered Homeland
Security Institute (for studies and analysis) will be replaced by the
DHS chartered Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute.
