Obama's plans for health care IT: Too much money too soon?

Some health care professionals worry that President Obama's efforts to create a national electronic health records system could waste a lot of money and affect the quality of health care in the U.S. Participants in a health information technology conference in Massachusetts voiced concerns that large hospitals already employing electronic health records would be getting a large some of money to do very little, while for smaller health care operations, the gusher of money could lead to a groundswell of technology adoption with little rhyme or reason.
