NASA awards $823.6 million contract to SAIC

NASA today announced the award of a contract worth up to $826.1 million over five years to Science Applications International Corp. for information technology management services.

The Unified NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS) contract, an indefinite delivery-indefinite delivery vehicle, will provide IT management service functions throughout the agency, though most of the work will be at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. Agency-wide services include the Integrated Financial Management Program (IFMP), wide area network, IT security, and digital television. MSFC services include IT systems and services support for programs and projects for which the Marshall center is responsible.

The UNITeS contract is a follow-on contract to the present Program Information Systems Mission Services (PrISMS) contract.

Individual task orders under UNITeS are capped at $500,000 per year, or $2.5 million.

SAIC has 15 subcontractors including IBM of Bethesda, Md.; Morgan Research Corporation of Huntsville, Ala., a woman-owned, small disadvantaged business; and Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. of Columbia, Md.
