Video: The Mobile Web to Become Less Annoying Thanks to Google

Ever try to access a website on your smartphone and an ad or message pops up and blocks everything? Google is developing a way to stop this.

The tech giant is instituting changes to its algorithm so mobile search results will reward sites that don't use such intrusive measures. Google will make exceptions, however; for example, sites that show a notice for a tracking policy are OK.

Look for these changes in your mobile search to be rolled out in January 2017.
