Here's How to Use Your Amazon Echo This Christmas

Whether you were gifted an Amazon Echo last holiday or you picked one up during this year's Black Friday sale, the digital assistant can be a huge help during the holiday season. Here are a few things the device can do to make your experience more merry and bright.

You might have already asked Alexa to stream Christmas music for you, but she can also sing a few carols herself or if you're already sick of Christmas music, she can recite "Twas the Night Before Christmas" in its entirety.

The Amazon Echo might already be the control center for your smart home but it can also be in charge of your decorations. Plug a strand of lights into an Alexa compatible outlet and then say "Alexa, turn on the Christmas tree lights" instead of crawling under the tree to plug and unplug the lights every day.

Alexa can also track the whereabouts of the big man in red using the NORAD Track Santa skill. Open the Alexa app to enable the skill, and then ask "Where's Santa?"

Alexa will provide updates on his current location and status. And if you ask nicely, Alexa might even provide info on NORAD's secret Santa files.
