Compromised firm Charge Anywhere warned that some of the card data it sends and receives appears in plain text, allowing attackers to copy it and use it in fraudulent transactions.

Spammers Possibly Breached BT-owned Email Provider

A number of Plusnet customers started receiving marketing emails from a U.S. company on email addresses they had given to Plusnet for billing purposes. These customers say they never gave these email addresses to anyone else and are not receiving the same advertising messages in other email accounts.

The women’s clothing chain Bebe Stores Inc. says hackers stole customer card data from stores nationwide for a period of several weeks.
