The Social Security Administration's Chief Information Officer Frank Baitman resigned on Friday, part of a major reorganization at the agency following a funding cut in the fiscal 2011 budget, Federal News Radio reported.
SSA Commissioner Mike Astrue appointed deputy commissioner for systems Kelly Croft to "assume CIO responsibilities," according to a memo the radio station obtained. Much of the CIO office's responsibilities were already being transferred to Croft's division.
