Helping Consumers from the Cloud

It's been slow going in most ways for President Obama's new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and its as-yet-unconfirmed director.

But the new watchdog agency is apparently ahead of the curve on information technology. The Treasury Department is using cloud hosting as a preferred approach for all of the agency's IT infrastructure, applications and storage, according to Treasury's six-month review of its IT reform efforts.
