President Obama was monitoring hurricane damage throughout the South in conference calls with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and FEMA Director Chris Fugate Thursday.
Some observant tweeters noted he may also have been tracking the damage on his favorite new digital toy.
Obama confirmed he's an iPad user at a March town hall meeting hosted by the Spanish language TV station Univision.
The president didn't say what type of iPad he owns, but the blog MacObserver.com, which is not affiliated with Apple, claims close-up photos of the device, taken as Obama is boarding Marine One, prove it's the second-generation iPad 2, released in March.
The tech-savvy president is also still a heavy BlackBerry user. There were brief concerns he'd be forced to surrender the device upon taking office.
