TechAmerica's Cybersecurity Council Chair

Phillip Dunkelberger, chief executive officer of e-mail and data encryption software vendor PGP Corp., will chair a cybersecurity council of industry executives.

IT industry association TechAmerica, which was formed by the merger of ITAA and AeA, announced today the appointment of Dunkelberger as chairman of its Cybersecurity CxO Council, which will provide advice to government and industry about effective information security policies.

In a statement released by TechAmerica, Dunkelberger said:

The decisions made on cybersecurity policy in the coming months will have a profound impact on national security, the economy, and our daily lives. I look forward to working with my fellow TechAmerica members to ensure industry's expertise is leveraged to its greatest extent. These matters transcend borders and are at issue not only in Washington but also in Brussels and other world capitals.
