Colorado emergency warnings go digital

Sirens have long heralded the approach of tornadoes, but emergency workers statewide are adding new technology to their arsenal of warning systems. Cellphones, e-mail and Twitter have joined sirens and media broadcasts to warn communities of potential disaster. While the new technology doesn't replace the old as a fast, efficient way to warn people of trouble, those using it say it does fill in the gaps.
