Obama again delays E-Verify requirement

The Obama administration is again delaying implementation of a rule that would require government contractors to verify the immigration status of their employees. Contractors won't have to use the Homeland Security Department's E-Verify system until June 30, according to a Federal Register notice published Friday. The additional time is needed to complete an administration review of the rule, which is also the subject of a federal lawsuit, the notice said.
