Video: Facial Recognition Can Monitor Your Mood While You Shop

Google already tracks data and intel on you while shopping online, and now the tech giant is attempting to do the same in brick-and-mortar shops.

Facial detection software from Google, recently showcased at the National Retail Federation's Big Show, could allow stores  to gauge your thoughts on merchandise based on your facial expression, gathered via hidden cameras.

Other technologies on display: 3-D-printed textiles and feet scanners to find the perfect-fitting shoes.
