A solution for everything except dinner table arguments.

Whether you're hosting and in charge of making the big meal, or you're traveling far and wide, Thanksgiving can be fraught with difficulty, from grease fires to traffic jams.

Thankfully in 2016, we have some technology that can help.

Hands-free voice assistants Siri and Google Assistant (decide here which voice assistant works better for you) will ensure you don't get cranberry sauce and gravy all over your smartphone while you're cooking a feast.

Go to the settings of your smartphone, and for iPhone, activate "Hey Siri" and for Android, activate "OK Google" detection. You can now ask your digital assistant to do things like convert measurements for you or search for a recipe online.

Another useful tool for chefs, the app Timer+ helps chefs manage multiple cook times, so while you focus on the turkey, you don't burn the sweet potato casserole.

And for those hitting the road on Turkey Day, real-time traffic info on Waze can help travelers attempt to avoid inevitable delays.
