House panel approves bill to aid disposal of unwanted electronics

The House Science and Technology Committee on Wednesday approved legislation aimed at curbing unsafe dumping of computers, televisions, mobile phones and other consumer electronics. The bill would fund research intended to reduce electronic waste and mitigate its impact on the environment.
