NASA has joined social sites Pinterest and Giphy to share all of the images the agency has taken throughout its many missions.
On Pinterest, NASA has already amassed more than 42,000 followers. The agency has divided things into useful categories, based on planets and missions (for instance, Neptune and the Orion Capsule each have their own board). Images of our own planet and those taken by the Hubble Space Telescope have gotten the most attention so far.
Giphy, a database and search engine of animated GIF, now boasts more than 400 GIFs from NASA including some fun astronaut hijinks and highlights from scientific experiments. The platform allows users to easily share these GIFs on their own social media accounts.
