This is one for the record books.
It's official: The Energy Department's Oak Ridge National Laboratory has produced the world's biggest solid 3-D-printed object and the feat was even verified by Guinness World Records.
The object in question? A tool for Boeing to use when building the wings for its 777X aircraft. It's lighter and cheaper than the tool Boeing currently uses.
Previous successes in 3-D printing from the Oak Ridge Lab include a sports car and a small house.
