Yes, VA Does Freight Too

Along with providing health care to veterans at 152 hospitals, processing millions of benefit checks a year and managing cemeteries, the VA ships, receives and warehouses a lot of stuff.

This, of course, requires a system, and the department has a request out for support and maintenance of its Veterans Affairs Freight Transportation Program, which "manages and reports on the delivery, timeliness, and costs to transport goods throughout the national VA infrastructure."

This system, naturally, is used by VA freight management and warehousing specialists, job categories that do not immediately spring to mind when you think of the VA.
