Air Force Seeks Smarter Human-Machine Interface

The Air Force has an outfit called the 711th Human Performance Wing/Human Effectiveness Directorate that wants to develop a "seamless human machine interface" that improves over time through an iterative and interactive process.

The goal of the project is to "discover, develop, and demonstrate cognitive processing models to support decision making and human understanding in complex dynamic environments" and to make it easier for people and machines to communicate.

I hope this project will finally make it easier to work with updates to Microsoft Office, my most frustrating human-machine interface.
