CBP upgrades online system for trade reports

Customs and Border Protection officials have deployed the second phase of an online system that allows businesses to report information on trade.

The Customs and Border Protection agency has upgraded its automated online trade information system so brokers, importers and other users can prepare customized reports, the agency said.

CBP officials have deployed the second phase of the Ad Hoc Reporting for the Automated Commercial Environment Secure Data Portal, an online system for information on trade, according to a Nov. 17 news release.

Importers, brokers and carriers that have a portal account can now prepare customized reports for account management, account profile and transactions, the agency said, adding that “the expansion of Ad Hoc Reporting also allows account holders to design detailed reports from a blank slate and tailor them to fit their individual business needs.”

The users can delete or add data fields, modify the report layout, and add desired data, the agency said, adding that a new feature allows users to run searches of data and schedule personalized data runs.
