Regarding, "Want to fly? Get Real ID" : I think it would be a lot wiser in the long run to just
secure our borders and build whatever fence necessary to do this...and/or place the proper amount of men to secure the borders. I cannot imagine that would be anymore costly than this REAL ID program will end up costing the government.

It would surely help eliminate your problem of terrorists or illegal [immigrants] at the source.  Instead, our government puts all our states and citizens through this process before we can fly on our airlines, or go into our own federal buildings. It does not seem fair we all get put through the expense and bother to do this when the source of the problem is right at the borders. I am sure the majority of citizens will not appreciate having to do this.

The article is a bit confusing.  Is it possible to get a reply via e-mail as to when exactly this will need done by citizens?  Or, how do we actually find out? Do we have until May 1 to get this REAL ID,  or do we have until end of December of this year?  When? It appears to me
all the states have extensions, but again, I am confused what that means exactly.
I know others are probably just as confused as to the exact timeline on this ridiculous requirement.

I would really appreciate a reply via e-mail if possible, so I and others I will know what and when this is required, so we can make plans and purchase tickets in advance for trips this coming year.   If we purchase tickets now for trips later this year, I would like to be prepared when
and if we will need these new ridiculous ID's...I am sure others are in the same situation. Thank you.
