Air Force: Don't Walk, Talk and Text in Uniform

The Air Force issued its latest instruction on Dress and Personal Appearance today, which if taken literally could put a serious crimp in the use of Blackberry devices and other mobile gizmos.

The dress style guide says, "While walking in uniform use of personal electronic media devices, including ear pieces, speaker phones or text messaging is limited to emergencies or when official notifications are necessary....Military customs and courtesies take precedence."

But, I am sure the language on emergencies and official notifications leaves a wide enough hole for everyone wearing Air Force blue to ignore this instruction.
