The Veterans Affairs Department planned to release on Wednesday its request for proposals for the largest information technology acquisition in its history: the $12 billion Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology contract, known as T4.
But in a notice posted Monday on FedBizOps, VA said because of the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend and the National Veteran Small Business Conference and Expo in mid-July, it decided to postpone release of the T4 RFP until July 26.
This will undoubtedly please the 650 vendors -- and me -- who will be spared crunching the T4 RFP when everyone else was scrambling to get out of town for the holiday.
Hey, the extra time might even give VA an opportunity to write the RFP in a version of English we can all understand.
