The CIA's website went down yesterday for as-yet-unexplained reasons. NBC's Last Word blog reported that at some point Thursday afternoon, the site became inaccessible. They contacted a CIA official about the situation, who confirmed that the site "was down during the afternoon prohibiting employees from using the unclassified website and their unclassified email. This was not confined to the CIA's computers, but was also affecting other government websites 'on the same pipeline.' "
As of 7:40 this morning, the site still was inaccessible.
