The KRACK Security Flaw Affects Everyone. Yes, Even You.

All devices connected to Wi-Fi are vulnerable, a security researcher says.
Another day, another massive security flaw discovered. This time it affects everyone who uses Wi-Fi.
The flaw has been dubbed KRACK or Key Reinstallation Attack and it isn't associated with a specific type of hardware, instead, it has to deal with the way Wi-Fi networks are encrypted. Specifically, the vulnerability is found in code behind WPA2, a protocol that makes almost all wireless connections work.
Any hackers exploiting this flaw can see any and everything you do online including passwords you type in, documents you send and personal conversations you have.
Mathy Vanhoef, the Belgian researcher that discovered this dangerous security flaw, warned companies about it months ago before going public with his findings, so look for security patches from most major tech companies in the coming weeks.
What can the average tech user do in the meantime? Download software updates as soon as possible for any device that uses Wi-Fi and be extremely careful while using any devices that haven't been updated yet. Change your passwords as well, for good measure.
