The small Mexican municipality of Ursulo Galvan lost $500,000 when cyber criminals emptied its accounts.

The crooks made 33 transfers from its six accounts in the Mexican branch of Spain's Banco Santander.

"To state clearly, they left us without one cent," Mayor Cesar Dominguez said.

Officials in the town of 26,000 are blaming glitches in the bank's security system.
