If you've deployed a Government 2.0 project at your federal agency and have lessons to share, the first-ever Government 2.0 Expo Showcase may be your chance. The one-day event, scheduled for Sept. 8 in Washington, D.C., is now accepting proposals for projects that leverage the Web as a platform to encourage transparency, participation and collaboration and reduce cost. The top four projects in each of six categories - Government as: process, provider, partner, protector, peacemaker, or product - will be presented at the showcase, and the top project in each category will be presented with a "Govie" award, chosen the day of the conference. The submission deadline for all proposals is June 30. For more information and to submit your proposal online, click here.
