Find Out How Secure Your Agency's Mobile Devices Are

New tool helps assess mobile security.

Are security concerns holding back your agency’s mobility strategy?

Mobile Work Exchange on Thursday launched the Secure Mobility Hot Zone, a new self-assessment tool that can help you or your agency determine potential mobile security risks. The group launched the new tool at their fall Town Hall meeting in Washington.

The tool assesses mobile security for end users and organizations by asking a series of questions about the workplace environment, telework and training as well as mobile security software and tools. The tool then analyzes the results of those organizational or individual assessments and provides users with a rating as well as a rundown of any potential danger zones that need to be remedied.

The tool also provides users access to mobility and security-related resources, social media updates and the option to speak with a mobile security expert.

How well do you and your agency rate when it comes to securing mobile devices? Is better knowledge about these potential holes a positive or negative for moving your mobility strategy forward?
