Telework Week Results

Today marks the last day of this year's Telework Week event. Telework Exchange said that more than 70,000 employees pledged to work remotely this week, resulting in more than $5 million in savings. Many agencies used this year's event to test their business continuity plans, particularly since the 2010 Telework Enhancement Act was signed into law.

Cindy Auten, general manager at Telework Exchange, told Wired Workplace last month that the official results and savings estimates from this year's Telework Week would be announced at the organization's town hall meeting on May 2.

For now, I'm interested to know how Telework Week impacted you. Did you telework this week as part of Telework Week? Did you have the resources, tools and technology to effectively perform your work? Were any cultural issues at play?
