USAJOBS Goes Mobile

Interested in searching for federal jobs on the go? USAJOBS - the federal government's job search website - now has an application for the iPhone and iPad. The new app - called iUSAJOBS - is a companion to USAJOBS.gov, and allows users to search for vacancies, save jobs and searches, share jobs via e-mail and social networking websites, activate a resume and make it searchable, and view application status. The app also will notify users if their application status has changed or if there are any new jobs that may match their skill set.

Users also can use bump their iPhone with another iPhone to share job information. The app also provides a voice function to help individuals with disabilities.

Since debuting last week, the app has received more than 50,000 downloads, and OPM said the platform is the first in a series of planned mobile applications to help better serve the American public.

To access the application, simply search for USAJOBS on your iPhone or iPad app store.
