Could open data change the way you vote?
When Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti heard about one citizen's decision not to vote, he decided to take action with open data.
Garcetti made a video for the citizen in question, local chef Al Gordon, pointing out each way the City of Los Angeles' open data portal could help Gordon in his career and daily life.
"Al! You've got to care man," Garcetti said. "Don't do it for me. If you care about yourself, vote."
