Computer and electrical issues slow thousands of commuters in D.C. region

On Tuesday, the CSX Transportation computer system that transmits instructions to passenger and freight trains running on CSX tracks from New York to Florida and west to Mississippi experienced a nearly three-hour breakdown. This compounded complaints from D.C.-area commuters still smarting from electrical malfunctions on Metro's Orange Line on Monday.
