Don't let apps suck away all your phone's power.

When your phone acts as your personal assistant, you need the battery to last more than a few hours, especially if you're on the go.

How to maximize your battery? For iOS 9 users, head to the battery section of your settings. There, you can turn on low power mode if you know it's going to be awhile before you can charge your phone. You can also see which apps hog the most battery life, so you know which ones to close or uninstall entirely.

Another deceptively simple way to save battery? When users normally receive notifications, the screen lights up. Place your phone face down, and while you'll still hear a ding to notify you, the screen will not light up, which saves power.
