Wanted: Talented filmmakers to make engaging, fun and informative videos about health IT and medication management.
That’s the call from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT in its Managing Meds Video Challenge. First prize is $3,000. Second- and third-place winners also win cash, as do two honorable mentions and a “popular choice” winner.
The call for entries seeks “short, inspiring videos sharing how you use technology to manage your medications effectively or support individuals to take their medications as directed, improving patient health and safety.”
Suggested topics include e-prescribing tools physicians use to send prescriptions directly to pharmacies, mobile apps and other tools that help patients track when it’s time to pop a pill, and tools to electronically update a medication list through an electronic health record patient portal.
Entries are due Oct. 1, with winners to be announced Oct. 18.
