Clinton Honors Execs

President Clinton last week honored 63 members of the Senior Executive Service with the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service.

The award is bestowed upon top achievers among the ranks of the 6,230 career members of the SES. President Clinton welcomed the award winners into the Oval Office on Thursday to congratulate them.

"Be proud of your record of achievement, for your contributions are laying the groundwork for our nation's continual success," Clinton said. "Indeed, future generations of government leaders will be inspired by your accomplishments."

Recipients of the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service receive a $20,000 award.

An additional 170 members of the SES were honored in agency ceremonies with a Presidential Rnak Award for Meritorious Service, which comes with a $10,000 award.

Below are the lists of both the Distinguished Service and Meritorious Service honorees.
